New Rules

By joining the American Asawa forum, you are agree to conduct yourself in a civil and polite manner, and to abide by the following rules:


1. Absolutely no (as in "zero") flaming.

2. No cliques or clans.

3. Take it outside. If you take offense at what someone else has posted, email them, don't make a spectacle in the forum.

4. Ignore trolls.

5. Do not use foul language, and do not make posts consisting of graphic narratives regarding sexual encounters, real or imaginary, past, present, or future. Do not select a username that is obscene (in any language) or which other forum members might find objectionable.

6. Use only constructive criticisms.

7. Do not make negative posts (even implicit) about other members, unless those members are taking part in the discussion and have directly solicited feedback.

8. No soliciting money. No soliciting business, unless permission has been given by the Site Administrator.

9. References to other sites, or links to other sites, are fine, so long as they don't constitute SPAM. I'll determine what is and is not SPAM on a case-by-case basis.

10. Don't be offended if your post isn't replied to. This happens; it's not an insult to you.

11. I reserve the right to do "line item deletion" within a post if the post is generally acceptable but at some point becomes insulting or offensive to other posters (I'll be the judge). This means that I will only omit the offending lines while leaving the rest of the post intact.

12. Be careful whom you carry on private conversations with, even if you meet them in this forum. The Internet is a curious place full of curious people. There are people (American, Filipino, etc.) who may contact you under false pretenses.

13. There will be no solicitations (personals) in the forum, of the nature, "Filipina seeks gentleman" or "Gentleman seeks Filipina".

14. Because I cannot be present in the forum at all times, I have decided to share my moderator duties with other forum members. I am not inclined to macro-manage or second-guess other moderators. They have very specific, limited duties, and will only take action when there are grievous violations of these guidelines.

15. This is an international forum and members represent all points in the spectrum, politically. Do not discuss politics or religion here, aside from politics or religious matters related directly to the Philippines or that directly impact Fil-West relationships. Further, do not make negative comments about any nation here that, in my opinion, or the opinion of other moderators, are inflammatory.

16. As a courtesy, please use English in the forum, so that other members will understand what you're saying. There are two exceptions: in the Filipinas section, you are, of course, free to speak Tagalog, Visayan, or whatever your native language is, if you're a Filipina and a member. Also, in the Immigration to Europe section, or Immigration to Other Countries, you are free to converse in whatever your native tongue is, so long as you are speaking to another person who understands your language.

17. PM's are Private Messages. Emphasis on PRIVATE. Do NOT share the contents of private messages with other members of the forum. Also, do not use PMs to harrass other members.

18. If there's not a section for what you want to talk about, that's because that kind of discussion isn't allowed here. Don't make a post in an in appropriate section. It will be deleted.

19. You will get no warnings, 1st time gets your ip Banned for good.
