Economically doable? My husband was 22 when we first met in person, was in school and was working at the same time.
So I know how hard it was when we first started. He didn't have that much money. I always tell my husband that we certainly helped each other. When I first got here, we lived with my father-in-law, we both worked and both went to school, few years after, we bought a house and now after almost 4 years, plan of having a family. The situation actually made us mature. You will know in your heart when is the right time but I hope money will not hinder your happiness.

You can do it on your own. My first trip outside Europe was 3 weeks travelling around in rural Thailand by 3rd class train, with 7 kg luggage (including dictionaries).
I studied Thai 3 months before I left (English is only for the bigger cities and the tourist areas).
My first adventure of this kind, and it was no problem at all. Travelling alone makes it easy to get in touch with people.

I don't see why it would be any harder to do it in the Philippines, where people do speak a little English, and you can read all the signs...

Hello again. Well this past weekend I was able to chat with my friend who is working in Kuwait on an employment contract and got to see her on camera briefly. she's a really nice girl and i am hoping something develops with her.

when she chatted she mentioned that she wanted to quit her employment contract after one year and then return to the philippines so we can meet. her contract i guess was signed for two years to workin kuwait. what i am wondering is, can she get out of this contract after only a year or will there be problems is she does? thanks.
