Hi Lyn Welcome to the forum!

Sure it is possible for you to meet pinay anywhere. just look around in your area. I'm sure no matter how small the place where you live at there is Filipino community.

Thanks for the reply. Appreciate it. I'd been here for 2 half yrs now and i still haven't found some true pinay friends. I met 2 sisters through my husband's ex but it didn't work out good. Long story short, i disconnected from them.

If I am correct you are close to Cincinnati. I found a web site that may have some organizations that you can use as a beginning place to meet some other Pinoys in your area,
Filipino Americans and Filipinos in Toledo, Cincinnati, Lorain, Ohio

Thanks for the site. For sure i'll be browsing on it after household chores. Taong-bahay kasi si ako.

In answer to your query, i am from the Mt. Provinces, igorot of the kan kana-ey tribe. I actually came from a very small & unknown barrio and i find Amelia so much bigger. Lots of things to do & see but still missing home

I understand where you coming from. even myself still missing Our homeland, I've just got back from Cebu last october I did not stay long enough, only two weeks for some reason. now I have plan this year to go home and stay there for years after my papers process is done hopefully soon. now I am wondering when you are going to take vacation? I wish you live here in PA near the area where I am, so I can drive you anywhere you like. did you know how to drive yet? or are you still studying how to drive?
Sometimes I am bored here in PA since I am new to this area. just moved here 3 months ago from Florida. I met this middle aged nice Filipina and she invited me to come over to her house for birthday party but I did not come because it is a bit far away.

p.s. Daby he is Amercan not Filipina and he probably do not understand " you are taong bahay"

I'm not familiar the place where you live in PI. I am originaly from Butuan, but grew up in Cebu and spent most of my life there.

WOW LornaDoone, you are from Butuan! That is where the family is. We were there last June for 3 weeks. Can't wait to go back home again. The family home is on San Francisco Street, very close to the river.

Yes, I'm originaly from Butuan in Libertad to be exact.sorry I'm not really familiar in that place,so I'm not sure how near San Francisco from Libertad. I've just got back from vacation last october; I spent one week in Cebu ;and one week in Butuan with my Family. I rarely visit there when I was living in PI. but at this time my mind is changed since I've got back from vacation last october. I realized I like Butuan now than before. Butuan is a lot better now and is improving. Butuan is very clean,peaceful; and there's no beggars everywhere. Cebu is getting crowded and the trafic is so bad now and a lot of beggars in every corner, pick pockets etc. so most of the time I always end up watching/hugging my purse and I can't enjoy jay walking where ever I go in the church or in the market. need to be extra careful.

Well..I hope you liked Butuan and enjoyed your visit there last June.
