1.not sure about the impact of a denial...
2. I got mine.. relatively quickly.. applied online, paid the fee, called the embassy for an interview. took about a month. 3. I was asked for how long.. and not having an answer ready said "oh.. about 3 months" that is what it was granted for. Not sure if you can ask\get anything else. And she had to check back in with the embassy upon her return, they even had a form for her to bring back. best of luck.. tw |

Xacto Talaga!!!
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH nick!!!
The US gov. apprears to allow anyone who's bold enough to walk in across the south border but Heaven help anyone who would like to visit legally. I have a question I hope someone can give me advice on, I married my filipina Spring '06 in her Church. I would like to take her on a 2 month trip around the US to visit my family/friends. 1). should I hold the fact that we are already married from the US Embassy (we have not changed her maiden name on her passport or ID's, just our banking records show her married name)??? It seems here that a g/f has a better chance of a tourist-visa approval than the wife of an American. I have heard that a filipino (or other nationalities) have almost a ZERO chance of getting a tourist-visa if they're married to an American; TRUE??? I'm trying to prepare her for a US tourist visa by taking her to several SE Asian countries so it shows that she traveled and returned and also opening several bank accounts in her name last year. I'll soon apply for her to get an HSBC Credit card this year. 2). My only other option is to try for a Canadian Visa so I could drive her across the border for a visit, but I don't know how difficult a Canadian Visa would be; anyone know this question? 3). I really don't want her to stay in the US because I don't even want to live in the US. but I travel back and forth from The Phils spending about half the year working in the US. I also wonder if this would look good or not good to a US. Consular official??? Mabuhay, Rowdy Last edited by rodeorowdy; January-30th-2007 at 01:39 AM. |
