Australian Spouse Visa Query

[color=darkblue]Hi to all members, I have been an avid reader of this site, and I am thankful coz it given me insights on our application.

I already submitted my complete application last 18 July 2006 via their "VIA" center located in Arnaiz. On the same day, they gave me the interview date, 8 August. That is three weeks from my lodgement.

Questions:

1. What is it like to be in interview? What are the kind of questions they ask? Are the interviewers very intimadating?

2. How long after the interview will they give you feedback on your application?

3. Is it possible to give you visa on the same day of your interview? If not, how long will you have to wait?

4. Will they tell you on the interview if they need additional documents?

I just want to be with my husband soon. We just got married, and we really wanna be with each other soon. I miss him so much.

Thank you!

Hi, Mrs Oz! Goodluck on the upcoming interview

1.) The interview experience to me wasn't very scary. I think it all depends on what sort of person you are. If you're confident and naturally gregarious, you'll have no problem. The CO I had was really nice and we were probably the only two people laughing during the interview. I could hear the other applicants in the other booths and they were pretty serious, or couldn't answer some of the really basic questions the COs were asking. The COs just ask questions about your relationship, some of the questions from the application (I think they just want to verify the information).

2.) I emailed them a month after my interview. They replied the day after I sent the email.

3.) It's possible and there have been a lot of these cases at the embassy! As to how long you have to wait if you don't get it same day, the embassy will tell you the standard wait is 4-6 months.

4.) Yes, they will tell you if they need additional documents and give you a time frame in which to submit.
