RSS News feeds of current news in the Philippines from Inquirer.net with auto updating every 30 minutes.

Here you can ask questions about long distance relationships, or share your experiences with others. Topics include, but are not limited to, how to find a sincere person to start a relationship, "red flags," how often to write or call, and more. Tell others about your victories AND you failures and the lessons you've learned. Etc.

Use this section to announce the date of your wedding (before or after the fact, as you please), news of pregnancies, or the birth of a child, or to let everyone know that your petition has been approved. Please don’t use this section to post news of engagements, however, because we’ve got a lot of those here, and they’d drown out the news of weddings and births, which is what this section is really intended for. You are allowed to post pertinent photos here, or links to photos. And by the way – Congratulations!

Engagements, marriages, and weddings! Here you can discuss HOW to get married. The cost of the wedding, the size of the ring, the method of the proposal, etc. Do not discuss strictly immigration matters here - use the Immigration sections for those discussions, please.

How do you get along with your new (or future) in-laws? What is your relationship with your family in the Philippines like now that you've immigrated to another country? Do you have concerns or recommendations about pregnancy or raising children? Whatever your concerns are, you can use this section to discuss them.

A lot of Fil-West couples retire, or simply move, to the Philippines. All of us have family there. Here you can discuss things like what it takes to retire there, the job market, how to buy land or build/purchase a house, the tax implications of such a move, health care, dual citizenship, etc.

For Filipinas who are planning to travel abroad to live, or who are new to their husband's countries, or who just want to know what life is like in other parts of the world. Feel free to ask questions about food, culture, money, dress, weather...whatever interests you.

Discuss remittances, long distance calling (phonecards, VOIP, callbacks, etc.), cellphones, texting, letter writing, sending mail, balikbayan boxes, and packages, etc.

Photos of you and your loved ones, your home, places you've traveled to, your pets, whatever you like (so long as it's in good taste). Also, links to your personal websites. Any images 50kb or larger in size must be posted either here or in the Marriage/Birth Annoucements section.

A place for couples who want to meet other Fil-West couples in their area. Also, Filipinas who will soon be immigrating may use this section to find other Filipinas who already reside in the area they'll be moving to. Or just keep your neighbors abreast of activities, organizations, stores, etc., in your area.

Western expatriates and their wives or husbands can use this section to meet up with other westerners residing in the Philippines. Filipina members, please note that there is a "Filipina Members' Network" section in the Filipinas forum just for you, though you're welcome to use whichever section you like.
