My daughter's name is Chezka Cazzandra Cae and her nickname is C3...yes, as in C3-PO!
My son is Zephren Josh...our pet name for him is 22y (or 2toy). I think we are just fascinated with numbers. But in school...they call him Josh. But if i'm going to have another girl, she will be Chelsea (i haven't thought of the middle names) and if a boy he will definitely be Benjamin Paul (nickname Brad, yes I like Brad Pitt!). Hope he'll turn up to have the same charisma as his namesake! |

this is our present problem. i am four months going on five on the way and until now we (at least I, SO doesn't necessarily agree) only decided for a girl name.
I'd really, really love to call her Mayumi, a Tagalog word for pretty, prim-and-proper lady. i used to fancy Eloise from the great love story of Peter Abelard and Heloise, or even Miranda, but these European names sadly will torture my child in the future. and that i wouldn't like to happen. imagine your child will hate or curse you for picking those silly long names he/she will try to hide from her friends and other people? since the doctor at the hospital told me it is a boy, we haven't had names ready to be plucked yet. as SO, for months and weeks, is trying hard to pray for a girl. but that doesn't bother me as long as it is healthy, boy or girl. |

Baby names
Hey nelle
My name is miranda.. Just a few thoughts on that name. You said that if you gave your daughter a European name then she would be made fun of? Won't she be part European? Just to let you know I was never tortured in school for my name, in fact most people tell me ALL the time they love my name and how they think it is so pretty. |

Hi Nelle!
You can find baby names on line. Honestly I like Mayumi name also for a girl I think I find it unique. I and my hubby wanted to give our future kids a names that start with letter A. Luckily, we both like Aubrey for our future baby girl and Audie for our future baby boy. I have cousins whose names are too long also. Like Levina Celine Doreen we call her Levinne for short or sometimes we tease her LCD. |

hi there girls, sadly in Vienna, Austria, Miranda is never a hit.
when i told SO and the mutti-in-law about my plan, they raised their eyebrows and thought it was a ridiculous name. SO told me of the flak the child will receive if we assign a name that will haunt her. anyway, i would really like something that will tell him/her of where he/she comes from, her roots, something like that. sometimes i envy Kidlat Tahimik, you know. |
