Seems to me if you buy into the $25,000 for the average cost of a wedding in America, than $5,000 to have a wedding with similar bling-bling in the Philippines sounds about right.

And when I asked around a wedding in the phils would cost around 5k.. but I guess it depends on where and how big you hold the wedding.
I'm getting the 25K from your above post.

Wedding Cost

We had the most amazing wedding one would have called it a Rock Star or Soap Opra wedding if it took place here in the states. Pulled out all the stops cost was aprox $4000.00 then added a $1000.00 photographer well worth it. So I guess for $5000.00 it was priceless. 200 plus guest incredible food, music, a beautiful church, fresh flowers, my wife says it was her Fantasy Wedding (spend a few pesos and live it up). We even had a Police Escort from our home to the church and reception 2 motorcycle police escorting the bridal car for an hours ride from house to church.

The only thing that we did not like was when parents visited the hotel on our second night to make sure thier daughter was ok poor wife cried for a while she was so embarresed. [/i]

well wedding costs will depend on the following factors;
1. the location- if the wedding held in provinces the reception there is more cheaper compare to the city..
2. wedding entourage-- if you wanted a cheap wedding gown theres a lot at divisoria..you just need patience to walk around the busy stores..and so the dresses and gowns of whole entourage.
3. number of visitors- but as long as the reception is in the provinces its still very cheap compare to the city.

by the way theres a cheaper wedding ring at ongpin but if you choose the buy in the jewelry shop then it will costs higher..

200,000 is too much in the provinces... as long as the wedding gown wont cost as much as 50,ooo pesos to 100,000 high
