Just wondering if until now u haven't heard from the embassy about your visa? Did I get it right that at the time of the interview u were not able to submit your nbi clearance because your name was in the HIT list? And that on the date of the interview, the embassy required you to secure an NBI clearance with AKA your name having been corrected. You were able to submit your NBI with AKA only on March 10. Please update me if you already receive your visa by now. I think I have the same problem as yours. My interview date was March 30 and I was also asked to submit NBI with AKA there having been correction in my name.In effect I submitted two NBI clearances. The first NBI clearance : Yolanda Ramos Arroyo and the second NBI: Jolanda Ramos Arroyo aka Yolanda Ramos Arroyo. God Bless you! |

Hello everyone...
it took me time to find this thread. I had my interiew last May 11th, 2006. And I was also given with this 221g and it says to pass additional document/s on anyday of MOnday to Thursday at 1-2 pm on window 17-20.. so does this mean I am really on AR or I just need to hand in the documents??? does that also mean that i am going to wait 1-3 months too same as with other applicants that was advised to WAIT till you hear from us??? Thank you all .. please enlighten me. My hubby and i are soo sooo worried. God bless!!!

The good news for you is that additional documents have been requested so you should have a good idea of why you are on AR. Most 221(g) forms issued by the Manila post simply state "Wait until you here from us" leaving the applicants only to guess what may be the problem. I have no idea if you'll have to wait the average AR time of 1-3 months but it is certainly a possibility. I know some AR applicants that have received approval within one week after submitting the requested additional documents and I know some that have waited much longer that the 1-3 month timeframe. Best of luck, JeffK |

Sorry for the late reply...I just now saw that you had asked me a question. The 221(g) form is issued to the applicant at the conclusion of the interview. Many times an appointment for a second interview is scheduled at the same time. Sometimes that second interview is conducted the same day as the first interview but, if it's not the same day, it is generally scheduled within a week of the first interview. If you don't receive a 221(g) form (or any other form indicating AR or denial) then your visa is most likely approved! JeffK |
