is SSI retirement and VA disability considered income?

hi i am new to this site i just want to know some ideas about my situation my interview will be on nov. 21, 2008 and im worried about the financial evidence of my husband because he just recently work august 2007 because he was here in the phillippines for 2 years..so her income tax return for 2007 doesnt show enough to sponsor me so for safe side we file a co sponsor at NVC but the problem is my co sponsor is my mother n law but her income tax return doesnt show much because 2 of her income is not taxable but we got proof that she get it everymonth...my case complete at NVC but we dont know if they accept my mom in law as a co sponsor so do you think my mom in law is accepted as my co sponsor eventhough her tax return doesnt show much? but we submitted an award letter stating how much she get from SSI and VA...i need some ideas here...help me im freaking out now
