hello Ceb2Ak (rhea)
I had my interview last june27 and when I text the delbros hotline using my mnlcase # last june 29 05:00pm it says that my visa has not yet been released , then I send another text again around 05:02pm I used my passport # as tracking # and they replied to me that my visa is now released and to be delivered soon. June 30 morning 9:00am I got a text message from delbros hotline and they said that I have to prepare valid ID'S because they will deliver my visa anytime.,at 2:00pm afternoon I got my visa and then I text delbros again to check if they are updating their site , then I used my mnlcase # and still the feedback is my visa is not yet been released!!! lol it was funny coz my visa was in my hand now ...!! so just base from my experience if u want to track your passport and visa , better to use your passport# and name to inquire at delbros text hotline its more reliable. |

Hi Glimpse!
What was the answer to your question before about the visa type: IV? I'm also confused because I also have that type of visa in my delbros receipt and I saw the green paper indicated IV APPROVED... what does IV stands for? I'm into CR1 route and you are into K1 we're different that's why I got confused. |

The IV stands for Immigrant Visa. Although technically the K visa's are NIV (Non-Immigrant Visas) they exist so that spouses (and fiances) can be together while awaiting for a visa to be 'available' (although the visa is considered 'available' once the petition is approved, or something like that).
Anyways, it stands for Immigrant Visa even tho K visas are special non-immigrant visas. Normally a non-immigrant visa requires the beneficiary to demonstrate that they do not wish to immigrate, but the K visas require the announcement that they do wish to immigrate. The K visas were setup so that reuniting spouses (and fiances) could be 'accelerated' and not take longer then the non-immigrant visas (work visa, student visa, tourist visa, etc.) http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigra...ypes_1315.html Quote:
