Chrstphr, I have to laugh at myself here. I did think this was written by the woman and stated that in my post origionally. BUT I just was not sure enough and made my post generic. :P

Anyway, I agree with Don and his rules to a point. I still beleive there are questions that just do not need to be answered even with the rules in place.

Such as, How many people have you had sex with? What is the purpose of answering this, unless your a virgin of course. The answer has no value to this relationship and can only cause harm.
Saying more than one and leaving it there, works for me.

I think it kind of goes hand in hand with getting rid of all the old pictures. It is the past, leave it there and live today.

Telling my GF "more than one"when she asked me that question is the truth too.....I just refuse to quantify the answer since i was a young man...So i agree wiht you on that point. and it keeps me within my boundaries..

I have answered these questions over and over again. i got irritated as i said either believe me or dont ask. I told her this is a trust issue not a caress as she put it. I do not find it caressing from her to hear my answer and then insinuate i am not being truthful.

She's not insinuating anything. She may be experiencing anything from worry about your being divorced so recently to "pride of ownership," enjoying the answer to the question and never getting tired of it.

If she calls it a caress, then it's probably the latter.

If she were my lady, I would want her to not ask so often that I get frustrated, but wouldn't tell her to stop asking if she wants to.

Chrez, to date my asawa hasn't pressed me about my past and don't think she will. When I first met her I told her about me and my past. I didn't go into details unless she asked but I was truthful to her with everything. If she asks me anything, as previously stated by others I will tell her the truth! But, not before asking her why she wants to know.

I think by you asking over and over again, if I was in your jowa's shoes I would be irritated also. I would not find this very caressing! Like what was previously posted, be careful of the questions you ask because you may not like the truth! But if you ask and he answers, accept it for the truth and leave it at that.

i think that your mahal has to know about your past. it's her right and you have to tell her everything with all honesty. i know i did tell my mahal my past my relationships with other girls there is nothing to hide and why would i i want to do that lying will destroy any relationship no matter how good it is.
